The battery is inside the cylindrical part and you will soon like the convenience it offers since the power button is located there. It's not a discreet button so you won't have a hard time locating it.

Other design elements include the LED digital screen on the top, middle connecting part, and the bottom ceramic cup atomizer.

The ceramic cup atomizer is detachable, while Its rotating structure allows users to twist the main body to any angle, adding unmatched convenience.

It’s quite refreshing to see a new and innovative e-nail again – especially since there hasn’t really been anything much happening in that space over the last couple of years.

The build quality of the Lookah Hammer is solid and it feels better than the cheap Chinese plastic that many wax pen vapes are.

The magnetically attaching atomizer cap, ceramic cup atomizer, Zinc-Alloy shell, and overall feel of the device are quite solid. It’s innovative, intuitive, and I like it!

The small portable size and the durable design makes it perfect to store in a bag and bring to a friend's house for an amazing session.

However, it is an excellent option for stationary dabbing rather than for dabbing on the go. This is because you will still need to use a glass water pipe while being cautious not to tip it over with the Hammer attached.

Generally, It is better suited for a piece of glass dab rig that is larger or heavy enough to support its shape and size.

950mAh Battery and USB-C Charging

The Lookah Hammer enail has a 950 mAH battery so it can last you a couple dozen session before it needs to be recharged. But this may depend on your use habits though!

Duration drops if you regularly use the Hammer on the higher voltage settings and if you use manual heating a lot.

It charges convenient and fast with the latest USB-C technology, which will take only about an hour to top up from empty to full!

Advanced Heating Tech

The Lookah Hammer uses a coil-less ceramic cup with quartz plate for heating, there is no exposed metal wires, which delivers fast, even heating, and ensures your concentrates remain pure and flavorful.

While the material of the cup wall is ceramic, it is the bottom quartz plate that heats up the concentrates, so the flavor is clean and pure without degradation. Regardless of whichever extract I used with it – the vapor was always flavorful and rightfully dense.

Many experienced extract vapers tend to favor ceramic and quartz nails because these neutral materials keeps the flavor pure. However, the ceramic doesn’t taste as pure as quartz. That is why quartz plate is used in hammer for heating.

The quartz plate is pretty quick in reaching the required temperature and takes only 5 seconds to adjust to your preferred mode. Pretty impressive heat-up time, if you ask me.

One of the bigger advantages that the Lookah Hammer has over other enails is that it allows you for ultimate customization via the five different temp settings: 464°F (9W), 500°F (11W), 536°F (13W), 572°F (15W), and 608°F (18W).

This precision allows you to truly control over the taste of each hit. Dabbing in the 464°F or 500°F settings are most likely to bring out the best flavor in the concentrate. However, the 608°F setting is perfect for a larger hit.

I prefer the lower temp setting as I can taste the terpenes in my material and maximize the effects of certain cannabinoids that are activated by lower temperatures (as opposed to burning them).

15s PreHeat Function

One of the biggest issues that dabbers came from thicker concentrates.

The Lookah Hammer features a handy 15s preheat function that will slowly warms the ceramic cup atomizer to thin the concentrates so that when you hit the button or inhale, the concentrates is already heating up to a good starting point.

Think of it like airing a bottle of wine, it’s an extra step that while simple can massively improve your dabbing experience. This can create a smoother hits and clear out clogs in the atomizer.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Lookah Hammer is fairly easy to clean and maintain thanks to the open and detachable design, perfect for the dabber who find it very hard to preserve their piece.

The ceramic cup atomizer demands a thorough cleaning as it goes through a lot of gunk and heat. The best way is to soak a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and wipe it down.

For more in-depth cleaning, you can also use the burn-off method to get rid of the stubborn resin and residue and clear the chamber. Simply set the device to the highest voltage setting manually and watch the leftover gunk melt.

If you want to soak the ceramic atomizer in isopropyl alcohol to deep clean it, Avoid soaking the entire unit, as the silicone seal on the upper part will be corroded. You can choose to immerse only the lower half.

After soaking, rinse it with clean water, Use a brush or pipe cleaner to scrub away residue. Let everything air dry completely before reassembly. And that's it, you're done!

Ultra-Portability

Compact at 100.45 x 49.5 x 27.04 mm and weighing just 8oz, it's the smallest E-Rig currently on the market.

The design and mechanics of the Lookah Octopus are similar to the well-known Lookah Dragon Egg, but it's made much more portable and easy to carry on the palm of your hand.

Plus, The flatter shape to it might make it slide in a pocket easier and better to travel with or share with friends.

For me, Its portability really stood out—this electric dab rig is easy to carry around, and I love that it doesn't take up much space.

Build Quality

The Lookah Octopus e-rig is made up of two parts: the base (battery+ atomizer) and the Bubbler.

The Upper bubbler is made from Acrylic material, while the lower base is made from PC (Polycarbonate) + ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).

Though its plastic build materials may not match those of higher-end models, This is alright for budget electric dab rigs.

On the other hand, Many other high-end e-rigs features a glass bubbler, But the fragility of glass limits their portability. Lookah Octopus eliminates this concern.

The Lookah Octopus has a built-in water filtration system with a magnetic plastic water chamber and that can be removed and refilled from the top.

The bubbler features a A-shaped percolator, delivering water-cooled filtration for smooth draws. This is a big advantage for dry wax dab pens.

The small plastic water chamber cannot hold much water (up to 30ml) before it will begin to splash up into the mouthpiece, but it is an effective water filter nonetheless.

The water can be kept inside the chamber while the unit is being transported thanks to the silicone rubber mouthpiece cover (shaped like a cannabis leaf). Very considerate design!

When in position the silicone mouthpiece cover seals the water filtration pathway to prevent any water from leaking out if the unit gets overturned in transit.

The base is also waterproof because of the fully sealed silicone ring, which is a good addition.

910 Quartz Cup Atomizer

Additionally, This quartz atomizer has a large surface area with 360-degree airflow, resulting in more vapor as you inhale, therefore delivering massive rips all us cloud chasers are looking for.

The vapor was smooth and flavorful, so I think I’m getting an elevated flavor experience.

How to Use the Lookah Octopus E-Rig?

The Lookah Octopus is simple and easy to use, here is a guide:

Step 1: Remove the bubbler from base and fill it about one-third full with water, up to just a smidge over the airholes.

Do not add too much water to avoid leakage, which causes damage to the equipment.

Step 2: After remove the bubbler, you will see the 910 quartz cup coil.

Use the integrated dab tool to load a tiny amount of wax concentrates onto the bottom center of the quartz cup coil.

After that, Replace the bubbler onto the base securely.

Step 3: Press the power button 5 times quickly to turn the Lookah Octopus on. The LED indicator light will flash white 3 times.

Once turned on, the Lookah Octopus will automatically enter a 15s pre-heat time. Just wait patiently.

After the automatic preheating is finished, the device will vibrates twice as a reminder, and the light will turned off.

Step 5: Quickly Double-click the power button to switch between the three temp settings. The LED light color will indicate your choice:

Green LED: 9W (464°F)– Low
Blue LED: 11W (518°F) – Medium
White LED: 13W (572°F)– High

Step 6: Just press the button and inhale. When you're finished, release the button, and you're done.

The longest working time of the Lookah Octopus electric dab rig is in the 25s; after that, it will stop working.

Step 6.5: the Lookah Octopus also supports Automatic or Session Mode that you can simply inhale through the mouthpiece without holding down the button.

Press the button 3 times quickly to enter the Auto mode. At this time, the device automatically heats according to the currently set voltage mode.

The Lookah Octopus will automatically preheat for 15s after entering the Auto mode. Then it will run for 25s before stop output. In automatic mode, the indicator light will keep flashing.

You can press the button once to exit the auto mode. If you want to restart auto mode, press the button 3 times within 2s.

For minor resin buildups on quartz bucket coil, you'll be able to heat your chamber a bit to help loosen any grime, and then Clean it using a cotton swab lightly moistened with alcohol.

For heavier buildups on your bucket coil, you'll want to unscrew it from your device and then let it soak for 30 minutes in a small glass of alcohol.

Then gently scrubbed it with a brush, Give a water rinse off. After that, the coil will looks as good as new.

For the plastic water bubbler and silicone parts, You can clean them with a brush, along with mild soapy water. Avoid using alcohol to saok it as this will corrode them.

Let all the parts air dry completely before reassembling and using the device.

The Snail 2.0 comes with a micro USB cable too in case you don’t have one just note it is a bit short.

It doesn't support pass-through charging, so you probably aren’t supposed to use it while it’s charging anyway.

The power settings are 3.2v (blue) 3.6v (purple) and 4.1v (white), allowing users to customize their vaping experience based on their preferences or the requirements of different oils.

Lower voltages offer a smoother, cooler experience with less vapor production but are often preferred for flavor preservation. Higher voltages produce more vapor and stronger hits but can diminish flavor.

Once the device is on, you can choose to use one of three preset voltage output levels by Pressing the power button twice. The LED Light on the top will light up a different color for each voltage output.

For my usage style (terps) the 4.1v setting is probably higher than I would need, maybe an extra one below 3.2V would have been cool, I'll probably stay on 3.2V for most of my favorite carts.

Flavor on the Raw Garden and Cresco cart is noticeably better on green, especially the Cresco which is liquid live resin and a bit thicker than Raw Garden distillate, and doesn't vaporize as quickly; so it works better with lower temps.

For the best results, I recommend preheating the unit. This will ensure enough vapor is created in the first hit, so you don’t have to endure the first few weak hits that 510’s are known for.

Lookah sells their own 510 wax atomizers which come in 4 different types, made from quartz, which do a great job of wicking even the thickest concentrates, offering a superior dabbing experience.

However, Due to the semi-hidden cartridge design, Its narrow cartridge area can limit compatibility with larger carts. So It can only support cartridges up to 1ml, Any fatter cartridges won't be able to fit.

Open the box you'll see the Swordfish vape, 2 x Quartz Cup Coils, a metal dab tool, a cleaning brush and an instruction manual. Overall the packaging is very generous.

Sleek and Portable Design

The Lookah Swordfish is a cylindrical-style vaporizer, measuring just 116mm tall and a mere 26.4mm (bottom) to 43mm (top) in width.

The ergonomic shape, light weight and small size make the Swordfish feels super comfortable to hold and really easy to carry with you.

In terms of aesthetics, The design is inspired by the actual Swordfish in the ocean which gives this concentrate vaporizer a unique look compared to others.

It's a cool looking wax vape and will definitely turn heads and get people to say, "Woh! What the heck is that?". Some people might like that, I do.

The overall design is small, compact and stealthy. I can cover the entire device if I close my hand around it.

Set the temperature to low 3.5V level, and you'll enjoy light vapors easy on the throat and barely visible. Set the temperature to over 3.9V and enjoy big rips producing large vapor clouds.

Finally, Its glass mouthpiece preserves the flavor and is easy to clean. But glass brings its own challenges, mainly fragility.

Here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Open the Magnetic flip-top lid of the Swordfish vape to reveal the quartz cup atomizer and load a small amount of concentrates into the chamber. When you're done replace the lid and close the chamber.

I was really impressed with the Lookah Swordfish! I was expecting a budget device with average performance, but the quality of vapor and flavor produced far exceeded my expectations!

There really wasn't much I didn't like about the Lookah Swordfish! It's an incredibly simple device to use and super lightweight and portable.

In fact, over the past month the Swordfish has slowly become my go to wax vaporizer for sessions outdoors!

There were some very minor negatives like the lack of pass-through charging, but for $55.24 I expected a lot more negatives!

When you consider the impressive amount of vapor and flavor produced, the Swordfish performs like a vaporizer worth double the price!

It's incredibly budget-friendly and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to get in to dabbing.
